Hi,
thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.
I only see the wrong scaling for a brief moment when the page loads. After half a second or so, the lazy loading of the Jetpack plugin that you are using for this seems to be loading a properly scaled version of the image.
Regards,
Tobias
Hey Tobias
Thanks for the super quick reply!
I don’t see that on my end, oddly, and neither does the client –
I’ve taken a quick screenshot to show you what i mean

Some of the plug is cut off completely etc.
Is it worth disabling the Jetpack bit?
Another example if it helps:

The images just seem a little squashed or stretched and I’m looking to keep the aspect ratio the same (if that’s the right word!)
Sorry to bother you pal

Hi,
yes, that’s what I see initially, when the page is loaded, but after a short moment, those sqashed images get replaced by properly scaled ones. From what I can see, this is done by the Jetpack plugin, which has a module for image loading from what I know.
You might want to try turning that off.

Tobias
Hey TobiasBG
I’ve disabled Lazy Loading in Jetpack – everything still looks the same to me (squashed images etc) – in fact i never saw the properly scaled versions that you mentioned at all.
Could you take a look now i’ve disabled it?
Thanks again
Hi,
on http://component-technologies.com/ul-plugs-connectors/ , the images are still loaded from some WordPress.com/Jetpack server, e.g. https://i1.wp.com/component-technologies.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Row1-2.png?zoom=1.25&resize=100%2C180
Now how they have URL parameters that adjust the size and zoom.
This is what you should somehow turn off if you want the full image to be used.
Regards,
Tobias
Thanks Tobias
I’ve now completed disabled all performance settings in Jetpack

Hopefullyit’s not loading from wp.com anymore – can you see any difference?
Maybe it’s my source images and i just need to resize each one manually in photoshop..
Hi,
yes, that’s better! Now, please add this to the “Custom CSS” textarea on the “Plugin Options” screen of TablePress:
.tablepress img {
height: auto;
}

Tobias
