Hope you can help. We recently moved across our clients site ‘rohanquine.com’ to a new server, before doing so we updated our clients WordPress site to the latest version and updated it’s plugins including NextGEN Gallery by Photocrati as well NextGEN Scroll Gallery (1.8.2).

We believed this hadn’t caused any issues or any noticeable issues anyway. Upon moving the site, our client noticed an issue with the amount of images our NextGEN Galleries were now displaying. My client has uploaded a large amount of images to these galleries previously and an unrestricted amount of images were displaying before but now instead of the full amount it is limited to 500 images. Granted this is a lot but previously we had over 1000 on one page.

I checked the Gallery Settings and the Images per page setting was set to 400. As there should be the following amount of images showing, I changed the setting to ‘0’ to display all the images. I also tried setting it to ‘3000’ as well but still only 500 images were displayed:

    619 images on http://www.rohanquine.com/video-books-films/stills-from-the-12-films/
    1,073 images on http://www.rohanquine.com/those-new-york-nineties/ny-stills/
    577 images on http://www.rohanquine.com/those-new-york-nineties/photos/

Has anyone got any advice or knows of a new limit to the amount of images that can be displayed? Thank you for any assistance.

We are currently running WordPress 4.2.4 and NextGEN Gallery by Photocrati 4.2.4. I upgraded weeks ago so apologies but I don’t know which version I upgraded from.

Both MySQL (5.5) and PHP (5.4) are up to date and the mod_rewrite Apache module is activated. PHP Safe Mode isn’t available on the server that it’s on.

We are hosted with ByteMark and we are running a customised version of the ‘Starkers’ theme.

The problem still occurs if we switch our theme to a WordPress Twenty series theme and deactivate all plugins except the NextGEN Gallery, and then clearing our browser cache and reloading the site.

@bclnumedia – Look at the value set under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous for the “Maximum image count” option. This is the control for the number of images that will be displayed from a gallery.

Try setting it to the higher values that better suit the site.

PS: You might need to run the Reset Option under Gallery > Other Options if you notice any “old” URL paths in the galleries, this will reset the above value to the default 500.

That’s sorted it, the “Maximum image count” option, thank you very much for your help with this. I believe we will be okay with old URL paths but we will test, thanks again!

@bclnumedia – Thanks for the follow-up. If everything continues to work well and if you have the time please feel free to leave us a review for the plugin … no worries if you choose not to.

    Thanks, again!
