Image Overlay Settings do not function

I am having an issue where my Image Overlay settings in my Image carousel do not reflect on the front end, instead it only shows the default settings.

I have tried removing all and any custom CSS.
I have tried deactivating all plugins.
I have cleared all and any caches.
The problem exists in all browsers and operating systems.

I am new to Divi5, so it probably is something basic, but I have run out of troubleshooting techniques to isolate the problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
