-
I have a problem with product images not changing when I change between attributes in frontend. The image just flickers and then the first image is selected.
All plugins are up to date. Using Elementor PRO and Hello theme.

Hi @ufoflin,
Thank you for reaching out and for sharing the details about the theme and builder you’re using. I understand how this can affect the user experience and interaction on your site.
To help narrow down the cause, could you please set up a copy of your site on a staging environment or subdomain? Then, deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce and switch the theme to Storefront. Once that’s done, please share the link to the staging site so I can run some tests on my end.
I look forward to your reply.
I have inactivated all plugins except woocommerce and and changed to Storefront. This is the staging site and the product with the problem: https://2.lemonhead.se/produkt/appertiff-mix-solbrillor-6-pack-blandlada/.
The attributes are not even visible now….
Hi there!
Thank you for sharing the staging site link.I’ve checked the product page you mentioned, and I can see that the attributes are appearing correctly under the “Additional information” tab.
Please note that in WooCommerce, attributes only display in the “Additional information” tab unless they are used to create variations.
If you’re looking to display a different image for each attribute option, you’ll need to:
- Change the product type to Variable product.
- Create variations for each attribute combination.
- Then, assign a unique image to each variation.
For more details you can use this guide.
https://woocommerce.com/document/variable-product/
If you believe you’ve already created different variations for that product and added a different image for each variation, could you please share a screenshot of the variations you’ve set for that product, along with the images you’ve assigned to each variation?Hello,
Yes I have all of that already. Also am using a plugin for bundles, but it all worked before. How can I upload screenshots?
Hi there!
Thank you for sharing more details. Since you mentioned that you’re using a plugin for bundles, it’s possible that the plugin may not be fully compatible with the latest version of WooCommerce.
Could you please let us know which bundle plugin you’re using? Additionally, You can use this tool to upload and share screenshots: https://snipboard.io to show where you’ve added the image for each variation separately.
Note: Please make sure all other plugins except WooCommerce are deactivated on the staging site before taking the screenshot.
Once we have more information, we’ll be happy to assist you further.
Hello,
The bundle plugin is WPC Product Bundles for woocommerce (v. 8.2.8) and the premium version (v. 8.2.8): https://wpclever.net/downloads/product-bundles/
All plugins except woo is inactive.

Hi @ufoflin,
Thank you for sharing the screenshots. I’d like us to take a step back. It looks like, for some reason, no attributes or variations are appearing on this staging product page: https://2.lemonhead.se/produkt/appertiff-mix-solbrillor-6-pack-blandlada/
Could you confirm if you removed the variations from the staging site product that you had set up earlier?
Hello,
No I have not removed any attributes or variations or anything.
Hi there!
I’ve rechecked the issue on your staging site and noticed a few things:
- There is another product named “Sunglasses”, and its variations are appearing correctly — the same variation you shared in your screenshot and image changes according to the variation. You can view it here:
👉 https://2.lemonhead.se/produkt/solglasogon/ - However, the product https://2.lemonhead.se/produkt/appertiff-mix-solbrillor-6-pack-blandlada/ is currently appearing as a simple product, not a variable product. as shown in this screenshot: https://go.screenpal.com/watch/cT1YlunX5eH
- It seems like you created a bundled product with name “Appertiff Mix – Solbrillor + 6-pack blandlåda” using the Product Bundles plugin, and after deactivating the plugin, that product is now appearing as a simple product
Could you please confirm whether the screenshot you shared is for this product?
Additionally, I found another issue:
When this product is added to the cart, the product image changes, and clicking the product link from the cart leads to a “Product not found” page.🔧 Suggested Next Step:For testing purposes, could you please try the following on your staging site:
- Delete the product Appertiff Mix Solbrillor 6-pack Blandlåda.
- Recreate it as a variable product.
- Set up the variations again.
- Then check if the issue still occurs.
Let me know how it goes!
Hi,
Yes the screenshot is for that product. It worked when I deleted and created again.
Hi @ufoflin
Thanks for the update! Just to confirm, are you saying that recreating the product as a variable product resolved the issue with the image not changing when switching attributes?
If so, that’s great news, and I’d love to hear more so we can wrap this up properly or assist further if needed!
Yes that worked but it’s not working on the live site as a bundle. I guess I have to contact them?
Hi @ufoflin
Thank you for the update! I’m glad to hear that recreating the product as a variable product worked on the staging site.
Yes, since the issue persists on the live site when using the product as a bundle, it would be best to contact the developers of the WPC Product Bundles for WooCommerce plugin. They’ll be in the best position to review how their plugin interacts with WooCommerce variations and help resolve the swatch image behavior you’re seeing.
You can reach their support here: https://wpc.ticksy.com/ or https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woo-product-bundle/
Let me know if you need help testing further or sharing more info with their team!
Hi there,
We haven’t heard back in a bit, so I’ll go ahead and mark this as resolved for now. If you’d like to pick things back up later, we’re just a message away!
Apart from this, if you have a moment, we’d really appreciate a review: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/reviews/#new-post
