Image margins in CSS

I’ve seen a number of posts about the image padding in CSS, but nothing has helped me to resolve my issue yet. I’d like about 5 px horizontal padding for right and left aligned images so that the text doesn’t run flat up against them. How do I go about achieving that? I use the rusty-grunge template.
