    Some themes will display the featured image automatically of one is assigned. Some themes will show the very first image that is uploaded while on a specific page or post. All themes can have this behavior modified.

    Your theme is telling that image to “display: inline”, that is a part of the problem.

    I’m curious, where do you want the image?

    Your theme is calling your stylesheet twice, remove the duplicate instance 🙂
