Image in Item Category Description

Is it possible to add HTML to show an image in the item category description? I have tried adding the following (<img src="http://www.universaluniform.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/orion_sublimated_kit_bespoke.gif" alt="Sublimated Team Wear" />) but it just automatically disappears when I press ‘update’

Any advice for getting a banner image on a particular category page is much appreciated!
