Image Header Not Responsive On Mobile Devices.

    Thanks in advance! Your help is sorely needed, my friends.

    I’m using the latest version of the expound theme on my new WP installation. I’ve created a child theme so updates won’t harm the design. http://www.beneadsfiction.com

    Here’s my problem: when the site is viewed on a mobile device the header is cut off and doesn’t show.

    Can a separate header file be used and referenced if viewed on a smaller device? If this is not possible, is there another free responsive theme like expound that carries this ability?

    It would have to be as flexible as expound is as well.

    The blog I need help with is beneadsfiction.com.

    Currently, I’m just using text for the header as that scales well on mobile devices.

    I know there’s a way to make the image also responsive (setting the image width to 100% via CSS, don’t know the exact code) but there you’ll face the problem of the width/height ratio.

    However, I looked at the post and there is no solution. You said in your post that you haven’t tried CSS code, due to you using a child theme?

    I’m using a child theme, too. Any insight you could shed would be deeply appreciated.

    Hello beneads,

    There is a free basic theme from themify:
    http://themify.me/themes/basic

    I have used an image in the header. The theme was able to correctly resize the image size when the browser window was made smaller.
    Perhaps you could check it out.

    Hello beneads,

    I wanted to make a comment about adding in your image in the header
    to the basic theme from themify. There are two ways to add in the image 1) as a header background image or 2) as a site logo image.
    I’ve gotten better results using the site logo image option, but you
    could experiment and see which suits you best.

    I gave that theme a try, only to find that certain features and bare minimum support requires me to pay for it. I also noticed that it is not supported in this forum.

    Sadly, I can’t afford that now. But I deeply appreciate your help!

    Do you or anyone else happen to know of another free responsive theme like Expound? Or how to get this to work with Expound?
