Image Conflict with Theme

    Have been working with theme developer on this but we’ve tried all options and when I turn off the plug-in it goes away.

    Theme, Broadsheet, uses an excerpt on the front page that automatically adds the thumbnail of the first image in the post.

    In some instances, in addition to the thumbnail, the full-size image shows up too. Not good. A huge video shows up on this one: https://www.sociocracy.info/page/4/

    Can’t find a pattern to when it happens and when it doesn’t.

    Need the plugin to make the excerpts longer and to add “Read More…”. I also like the way it retains the color behind the quotes –particularly because I plan to have a lot of quotes. The theme strips that out.

    Hi,

    Try the “Strip tags” option. Since you want to keep the quote set that to “Strip all tags except” and check the checkbox for “blockquote” (you can also check it for other HTML elements such as a for links, strong for bold and em for italic).

    Perfect! And it works on all pages with excerpts. I hadn’t tried it because I didn’t know what tags to leave in and was bewildered by the choices.
