• Hi, I’m fairly new to editing the code of wordpress and after adding a Div to my header.php to put my custom header graphic, I’m having trouble with the way my website views on mobile. My url is: http://nflpicksats.com/

I’m using a child version of the twenty fourteen theme, and I finally learned how to add divs to the header.php to be able to add elements to the structure of my site, but those elements don’t reshape when viewed on mobile. I’ve played with CSS properties like width: 100% and many other suggestions I’ve come across, but no success. I’m also trying to keep the nav bar in the new location I made for it (centered and on top of my graphic), but it doesn’t show up on mobile either. Any help would be much appreciated!!!

  • If you are just starting try the twenty fifteen theme. It was designed mobile first.

Thanks for your response, but I started with the twenty fifteen theme and didn’t like it. It seems too “bloggy.” I’m not new to WordPress by any means, and I’m an experienced graphic designer, I’m just relatively new at coding.

And besides, this is something I really need to understand going forward.
