I started using ifttt.com to have my youtube videos automatically post to wordpress and save some steps. However the embed code that is inserted on the wordpress post for my youtube videos is of the following format

    <object width=”425″ height=”350″> <param name=”movie” value=”http://ift.tt/1ftjovf”/&gt; <param name=”wmode” value=”transparent”/> <embed src=”http://ift.tt/1ftjovf&#8221; type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” wmode=”transparent” width=”425″ height=”350″/></object></p>

And video thumbnails does not pick up the thumbnail.

Is there any way to get this to work with your plugin? or maybe with the pro version.

Other then the thumbnails not being picked up, this works out pretty good, so I would love to get this all working properly.

So IFTTT doesn’t give you any way to customize the code being embedded? If not you’d probably be better off using a plugin to import your videos using the native YouTube player. The code you’ve posted won’t work on mobile devices and wouldn’t work at all if IFTTT is ever down.

I have my own Video Importer plugin but there are also options like Automatic YouTube Video Posts.
