WordPress Wake UP!!! Give us What We Need To Build The Right Way!

    At first glance, this has a LONG way to go before it should be implemented into WordPress core. Kudos though to the developers at working hard to find a better solution that the current editor! We need more developers working on new and better solutions for some of WordPress’s antiquated areas!

    However this is a poor page builder at best. It lacks so many features and tries to hide many things that shouldn’t be hidden. It’s lack of basic features like changing the color of text from the text boxes is blowing my mind! It also really needs the ability to add columns to the text areas, and each element that is added needs a custom CSS option for that element – EVERY element needs that! A place to input CSS for that specific element.

    As a designer in WordPress for 10 years now, if this thing becomes core it’s not going to be good for clients AND designers. This needs to be a plugin that is optional but NOT core. WordPress can do MUCH better if they want to create a default page builder for their platform – and they should. They need to realize that their platform is no longer exclusive to bloggers, but to every market in the world, and work to create something that truly helps people build the sites they want to build. That is the future of WordPress and they need to embrace that fully!!!! Gutenberg is not the answer……

    While I understand the passion behind reviews like this, it would be much more helpful to list out the exact details of the problems you’re encountering. Gutenberg is still being developed. Constructive feedback can help guide the direction in a positive way.
