    Hi,

I am using SimpleTOC alongside GenerateBlocks and I’ve run into an issue with how IDs are automatically generated.

The plugin is very aggressive and injects IDs into every heading it finds, including the H1 tag, which is not desired. Furthermore, it scans dynamic placeholders like {{post_title}} in the Query Loop before they are rendered. This results in a critical validation error: every single post in my loop gets assigned the exact same duplicate ID: id=”posttitle-linkpost”.

Is there a way to prevent SimpleTOC from generating IDs in specific sections of the page or for specific tags like H1?

Ideally, the plugin should only generate IDs for standard WordPress heading blocks and completely ignore headings created via GenerateBlocks.

    Thank you for your help!

This should be fixed in 7.0.4. Please check

Hello, for a change, all the headings now have the ID “home.” {{post_title}} has disappeared and been replaced by the ID “home.” This applies to all dynamic links to the home page. Everything is fine on other pages.
