Hi all, I’m running a new reviews site that has multiple level (s2member) free memberships. Each level has custom roles/tags limiting them to what they can see or do in the site.

I would like to be able to sort members by IP address or find some other way to ensure they are not signing up for multiple Levels to post additional reviews.

For example, I have one level that are treatment programs, they can see the reviews but not post. If a representative signs up and realizes this they may then go in and sign up as a patient or parent to write good reviews for their program and bad reviews for others. Obviously I want to thwart this effort. Any Ideas?

  • You need a custom function like I explain in this article to find if in the DB exists the IP of the member who currently registers. But this may not be accurate – think about mobile users who can connect to different access point, or a big subnet behind a router…
