ics Scope Limitations

Would it be possible to get more granular on ics scope settings? We have a large (over 111,000 events) calendar mostly in the past. Our users would love to see the future events (a small percentage over the 5 years or so we’ve been running the plugin) as well as a reasonable amount of past events, probably a month’s worth for now. I would like to suggest a way to make the scope for the ics file work in such a way. I would be happy to submit a pull request if that would be easiest. Just let me know.
