I’m planning to purchase this plugin, but I have a question first.
My client has given me an iCalendar file URL from BookOnlineNow, for example:
    https://bonconnect.book-onlinenow.net/ical.aspx?roomtype=26370&hotelcode=4895
They said this link comes from their channel manager, and they want to sync the calendar from it.
Can this plugin do that? Will it work if I purchase it? Please help me confirm.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,

Thanks for your message. We understand the situation, but VikBooking alone will not be able to import bookings from an external iCal URL or API endpoint. This is because VikBooking is part of our E4jConnect all-in-one solution (Booking Engine, PMS and Channel Manager).

Ideally, your client would need VikBooking, the complementary plugin “Vik Channel Manager”, and an active subscription for our E4jConnect channel management service. Various OTA connections could be established with real-time API communication (Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, Vrbo etc..) and you will also get the possibility of importing and/or exporting iCal bookings.

E4jConnect is a certified Channel Manager provider listed among the Airbnb and Booking.com Preferred+ Software Partners, and so we do not recommend using VikBooking (the Booking Engine and PMS plugin) with a third-party Channel Manager software or service.
However, those who use our full solution could still import bookings from a third-party iCal calendar URL, but VikBooking alone could not do that, as stated above.

We invite you to contact us from our websites for further information about our commercial services as we don’t want to go off-topic on this forum.

    Thank you,
    The VikWP Team

    Hi,
    Thanks for your response.
I’d like to know if we can try your 30-day free trial first. If everything works as expected, we’ll go ahead with the subscription.

Please let me know how to start the trial.

Also, please guide me on how to contact you through your website. I couldn’t find any option to get in touch without a subscription.

    Hi,

Yes of course, our E4jConnect 30-day free trial is perfect for testing the Channel Manager, as well as all Pro features of VikBooking. However, please notice that the trial period activation requires to establish a real connection with one (or more) Booking.com or Airbnb accounts. This is the only way to activate the trial period, you basically need to connect an existing Booking.com hotel ID or an existing Airbnb host account ID, that you (or your client) manage.

We can definitely share more information and assist during the activation of the trial period. You can find the contact form on our website at E4jConnect dot com, which does not require to have an active subscription or purchase order (this would be required only to open a support ticket/case, and after activating the 30-day trial period, you will get an active account with E4jConnect for opening new cases).

    Thank you,
    The VikWP Team
