I am missing the trash/delete function

    I am the only administrator for my wp blog.

    I am missing the Trash/delete functions for Posts, media and plugins.
    When trying the “Move to Trash”, I get “You are not allowed to move this item to the Trash” error.

    For pages: I am missing the “Publish” function (instead, I have the “Submit for review” option only.

    How can I fix this?

    Deactivate all your plugins. Fix it?

    If no then update your core files again. Fix it?

    If no then create a new user with admin rights and login to that one to see if the same problem is there. Fix it?

    If no then I don’t know.

    Deactived plugins: do not fix it
    WP files updated : do not fix it
    New User with admin rights: same problem

    Thanks for your help, Aaron.
    Anybody else with other suggestions?
