    Has the “Lite” (Free) version of the plugin never supported clickable/followable hyperlinks inside embedded PDFs on a WordPress site?

    Or did you recently block this functionality in the Free version as a way to get users to pay for a Pro subscription?

    To answer your question directly: clickable hyperlinks have always been a Premium-only feature in PDF Embedder. This has not changed, and nothing has been removed from the free version. The Lite version has never supported clickable links inside embedded PDFs.

    If hyperlinks are important for your use case, upgrading to Premium will enable both internal links within the document and external links to other URLs. You can see the full feature comparison here: Plans Comparison.
