HyperDB

Hi All,
I want to start using HyperDB in my system with 2 synchronic databases.
I want to use it in a way that provide me to access one specific database when I’m running queries in wp-admin, and front-end queries will access the other database.
Could this behavior can be done by HyperDB ?
Anyone done this before?
