"HTTP error" when uploading Featured Images

    I am consistently getting ‘HTTP error” when uploading Featured Images. Following an old thread, I have activated the “Default to GD Master” plugin but it made no difference. What can I do to eliminate this error, please?

    I’m using the latest WP and Firefox versions.
