    Hi there!

Thanks for the amazing plugin! It’s been working very well for me and I’m a happy Cloud Service subscriber.

I’ve recently come up against a problem that started happening a week or two ago. When I upload a new image into the gallery in WP the upload goes slow, and sits on 100% for a while, then gives me a ‘HTTP error’. If I retry the upload 5-6 times it will eventually work.

After the upload fails, there is a new file in the media library but it is invalid and contains no image (that I can see in the Media Library). These files do have some data in them though as they range from 300-450kb.

I’ve tried this on multiple machines so its not a local issue.

When I deactivate the plugin, uploads complete fine, so the plugin is part of the problem.

I’m using the latest versions of EWWW and WP.

Here is a pastebin of the debug report: http://pastebin.com/iF7s0gV5

I’d definitely appreciate any help! Really keen to get the plugin working again as soon as I can!

That generally indicates that the uploads are timing out, which is definitely possible, depending on what size the images are, and having 7 enabled resizes.
Try the deferred optimization on the advanced settings, it should take care of your problems.

That fixed it, thanks. It’s odd if it’s related to file size as it was happening on already highly compressed images.

Is there any disadvantage to using this setting?

The only disadvantage is that it takes up to an hour or so to optimize your images.

Even on highly compressed images, it can take a while to process them. It isn’t solely dependent on image size, but also image contents. I’ve had 4MB images that compressed faster than 1MB images, it just depends on how long the algorithms take to analyze the image for savings.
