    Hello!

Recently I’ve set up a blog using wordpress. It’s been working until I changed the site addres in settings from http:// to https://. I did it because I have got a certificate from cloudflare and when I was using browser to add https:// everything was working.

I tried everything – deleting .htaccess, removing plugins, themes and using fresh versions of wp-admin and wp-includes.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

    Hi @readon

Let’s see if we can restore the site to the orignial state and go from there. Are you able to access the database entries to restore the Site and WordPress address at the http:// version?

Hello @reneesoffice, thank you for your answer.

If you ask about access to MySQL then yes, I’ve got that but unfortunately I don’t have any back ups from yesterday. Or to be specific any backups, because this site has been online for 4 days.

    Hi @readon,

Thanks for the info. Are you able to edit the database to reset the Site URL and WordPress URL? Here’s more on how to do that:

In terms of restoring the site, you might be able to check with your host to see if they have a copy saved to restore (some hosts make backups as well).

I have actually did that. I changed those entries in the database but it didn’t work.

Thank you @reneesoffice for help. It have finally worked. It turned out that that it was the hosting’s provider fault. Anyways, thank you for your help and I’m really sorry for wasting your time. 😉
