    Hi,

I’m testing Resmushit on a new website, but when “Optimize on upload” is enabled I’m unable to upload any image of any size. The message I get, in the media uploader screen, is just a simple “HTTP error.”

The website is hosted on Siteground, with the latest WordPress version and the Gridlove theme. I’ve contacted support and after their tests they feel that it’s most likely the plugin and not something in their hosting environment.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I experienced this problem too, the image itself is actually successfully uploaded but I need to refresh the page when editing to see the uploaded file.

Disabling the plugin removes this HTTP error.

@jfireman – Have you found a way around this, apart from just switching off the plugin?

Nope, for now I temporarily disabled resmush.it and using another plugin

@jfireman – Which plugin are you using as an alternative?

I’m using WP Smush for now, the free version is not as powerful as resmush.it though

@jfireman It happened to me. Every time I upload, I get “connection interrupted” message. Just deactivated the plugin and everything works fine. Also switched to Smush By WPMU DEV

    Happened to me too.
It is a new problem, I had no trouble with this great plugin so far…

I feel better that I am not the only one with trouble, it means it doesn’t come from my end and there is a problem with the plugin.

Yeah, me too. I spent like two hours digging through logs on the server.

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for this feedback, we’ve discovered an issue with one of our server today, which causes some troubles for all the service. We’ve fixed it an hour ago, and it should run normally right now. We’ll keep an eye of our logs to avoid such problems in the future. By the way, we’ll slightly change our server architecture in september which will enhance the quality of service, still for free πŸ™‚

Thanks for your patience, and feel free to rate our plugin if you liked it πŸ™‚

    Cheers,
    Charles

It works, thanks, I didn’t even have to look for an alternative πŸ˜‰

Your plug in is great, congrats on doing such a good job.

@resmushit – Thank you for the feedback and the great free plugin, but I’m still having the same issue as before.

    Hi Rackfact,

Have you asked your hosting provider if they could provide you the PHP Error log output ? It could be really helpful for your problem, it would help us to find out what’s wrong.
It’s mainly due to a requirement missing (PHP extension “CURL” or specific instruction disabled such as allow_url_fopen.

When you’ll have these error files, feel free to copy/paste them here, and we’ll try to help πŸ™‚
    Cheers,
    Charles

These are some of the errors displayed in the errorlog, but the plugin seems to be working fine now.
