My website (http://personadondada.com) is giving me the following error message:

    HTTP 500 Internal Service Error

The website cannot display the page

    Most likely causes:
    The website is under maintenance.
The website has a programming error.

I’m not 100% sure of what version of WordPress I have installed because I had it installed for free by the WordPress Installed4Free team several months ago. I don’t have the latest version installed.

I can’t access my WordPress account, but I called my hosting account (godaddy) and they said it was a problem with the WordPress account because I can still access my files on the hosting server. I read that some people got this same message because of a conflict with the WP-Cache plugin. As far as I know, I don’t have this plug-in, and I definitely don’t have the WP-Cache folder. Can anyone help please???

  • What have you changed recently?

Do you still get the same error if you visit the site in a different browser or turn off friendly errors in IE?

the problem is evident if you look in Firefox.

    Error establishing a database connection

    fixed.

Did you resolve this issue? My site was working fine, then as of yesterday I started getting the same HTTP 500 error,

I am having this problem too. It came out of nowhere. I have made no changes in quite a while. I am getting an internal server error.

I should add that my site is http://www.johnlautner.org

You can see that the site itself is up but the wordpress component (which is the bulk of what the public sees now) is down. I looked at bandwidth and webspace and there are no issues. I looked at the error log and it didn’t make sense to me.

ya know wtf? the original post in this thread is resolved. thats why someone (ME) said “fixed” and there hadnt been a reply in FOUR weeks.

Second, i dont want to click links to get to your WORDPRESS INSTALL. If youre going to give a link, give a fricken link to your blog, not a page with a picture, and ANOTHER “click here to enter” link. We dont care what you look like.

How about you start your own thread?? And instead on making remarks about not understanding the error log — you show us what it says. Believe it or not, someone here just might be able to understand it.

Third, whatmeworry, In both this thread, and your other, you dont even provide a link.

    Good luck with that.

and another thing, if either of you actually read this entire thread.. you’ll notice I explain the cause of the ORIGINAL POSTER’S 500 error- It was the connection to the database that was broke. Fixing that problem eliminated the error.

    Nice, whooami. You poor baby.

not really, im not the one asking for help ..

now that youve taken my advice and made your own thread, you’ll probably find you post is better answered.
