HTML5 Templates & WordPress

Hi guys.

I am trying to wrap my head around the concept of HTML5 and how to implement HTML5 existing templates into WordPress.
Can someone point me in the right direction? I scoured YouTube, training sites, etc, but I may be searching with the incorrect keywords.

Basically I want to learn how to use HTML5 templates with WordPress.
