What page is getting the 404? Maybe you’re missing a file somewhere…

In reference to the html tags in a post problem:
It occurs when I use post.php which evidently calls it’s self. The url in the browser address block is to post.php whis is definitely there.
I suspect that there is a problem within post.php or a file it refers to when dealing with html code.
The problem with the link catagories is similar. When using link-categories.php , which also calls it’s self when the form is submitted , I got a 404 error for the file link-categories.php which I just used.
Hope that is is clearer then I think it is.
Thanks,
Dan

I probably should mention that WordPress was installed via Fantastico and that my web host providers are real sticklers for secruity to the point of being annoying. Could the php.ini settings have anything to do with it?

I found the answer to this. My host providers, for security reasons, have shut down the passing of html through “get” and “post”.
I’ve never heard of anything like that. Honestly, I would recommend finding a new host. There have been several recommendations (and even some free offers) here on the forums.
