I am trying to enter a description in for each of my images and within these descriptions I want to put a linked text to go to another page when clicked. (it would be nice to add an image that could be a link in the description, but I don’t see a rich text editor there.) Now, I can actually create the tag and make the link and even add a tag to make it bold. However, it won’t let me enter and save either a </br> tag to bring the link down to the next line or a target=”_blank” tag within the tag to open the link to another page. This is weird because I have done this on another site with NextGen Gallery and it works fine. That said, I haven’t tried to do it again on the other site in fear that when I hit save, all of those tags could disappear. Can anyone help with why this might be? Could it be because the site I’m trying to use it with is using twenty thirteen theme?

Does anyone know if this plugin receives any kind of support? Still wondering about these issues.

@dsb0328 – Please share an exact specific example of the HTML anchor tag you are trying to use.

Gallery image description. </br><a href="http://www.examplepage.com" target="_blank">Click here to visit the site.</a>

The /br and target=”_blank” disappear after saving every time.

@dsb0328 – Those are currently not “valid” to be used in the image descriptions (they will be parsed out of the text). You are welcome to suggest differently via a Feature Request here https://imagely.com/feature-voting/

@imagely – That’s strange. Can you explain why they used to work then?

@dsb0328 – We’ve had to make adjustments to how text is parsed in that text field, unfortunately it was a case of choosing to be overly restrictive as a security precaution.
