HTACCESS Plugin Question

    I need to add a secure Sign in User Name and Password to submit a request form to an existing WordPress website (pinnacleevaluations.com). Does WP support htaccess? If so if I add the plugin htaccess plugin below will it provide the security I need to add this request form or should I use another type of plugin? Thanks
