HTACCESS causing www. sub domain problem
-
Hi there,
I’ve got a bit of a strange problem that I hope someone might have some idea how to fix.
About 5 months ago my website was hacked and malware was embedded. I cleared it all out and started fresh. EXAMPLE.COM domain worked fine but now when i simply put .WWW in front of the URL it gives the following error:
Error 403
We’re sorry, but we could not fulfill your request for / on this server.

Your technical support key is: add0-5a79-1756-6707
You can use this key to fix this problem yourself.
Now when I called my host godaddy, they suggested to rename the htaccess file to anything like htaccess.dax and strangely enough the http://www.EXAMPLE.com domain actually worked! but now unfortunately when you click on any article or page content in the website, it goes to the following error:
Not Found
The requested URL /crown-proposal-queens-wharf/ was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
I have since changed it back to the normal htaccess file name but still the www. sub domain doesn’t work.
Wondering if anyone else out there has had this problem before and knows how to fix it??
Kind Regards,
Eric
