Hi there,
You can add horizontal rules by clicking the button on your post editor: http://cl.ly/XSay Alternatively, you can type them in manually in the Text View.
I know how to enter this, but I do not see the HR in the text… it is somehow made invisible and I want to know how to see it in the editor window ;=)
Hi Avantart,
By default, Editor shows the horizontal rule in both the editing screen and on the front end of the site. If you’re not seeing it as it is in Mike’s screenshot, chances are it’s due to the editor customizations you’ve made.
I am sure that this is not reason.
I had the same situation that HR is not visible at another test installation where I did not edit any stylesheet at all.
The only thing: I use TinyMCE Advanced Plugin, could that be the reason?
That could be it. You can try disabling the plugin, or any other plugins, to see.
Hihi, the standard editor does not show the HR-icon at all;=)
but even when I add <HR> in the texteditor, the line is not visible
only when I click near to the place where it should be I can see the line, when I click somewhere else the line is invisible again
this is really stupid, with or without TinyMCE advanced
I wonder why there is no configuration menue for the native editor in WP….
well, it is not such a problem, but it is nasty
I just installed a fresh copy of WordPress and Editor and the HR icon is definitely there. It’s weird that you’re not seeing one.
Did you disable all your plugins at the same time and try it with zero plugins activated? If so, sounds like you have some other kind of conflict or issue caused by a plugin saving something to the database.
