I am using the plugin on a small non-profit site and it was working really well. Updates were made straight to the public static site without needing to upload and unzip on the server.

Yesterday it would not complete the build process. I could not cancel the process even by making the plugin inactive. It would always go back to “Resume”. Eventually I uninstalled and reisinstalled – which fixed the rebuild but now I can’t see where I need to set the plugin so that it just updates the static site directly without having to go through the zip process.

I have the dynamic WP site on a sub folder of the main public (static) version.

Can some kind person put this idiot out of his misery and tell me what and where I have to change. I just can’t see it again.

I thought I had it. I changed delivery method and put in the address for the static site but when it generated, I got a lot of could not create directory notices for existing directories. Now I’m having to go back to zip 🙁

    Hi strategia,

It sounds like you needed to change the Delivery Method to “Local Delivery” (as you did) and then set the Local Directory to the directory where the static files are supposed to be saved. It sounds like you might have tried to type in the URL for the static site there?

If you’re able to FTP into your webserver, navigate to where the static files are supposed to go, and then copy and paste that directory location into Local Directory that may fix your issue. Let me know if you try that and it’s still not working.

    Best,
    Scott
