    Hi,

Due to some reason I have to remove this plugin I tried deactivating but it was not deactivating don’t know why.

I tried removing it using ftp now on plugins page I am noticing the following error message:

“The plugin wp-simple-firewall/icwp-wpsf.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.”

Please help how to properly remove everything related to this plugin as it was not removed using proper way.

    Thanks.

that message you see should only appear once.

If you want to manually delete any WordPress options associated with the plugin, look with the wp_options table for any options beginning with the prefix “icwp_wpsf_” and delete them.

Alternatively you can activate the plugin again, ensuring you’ve placed the forceOff file in the plugin directory

then select the option to delete the plugin options and deactivate the plugin.

    Hope that helps.
    Thanks,
    Paul.

I have searched icwp_wpsf_ in wp_options and deleted those but still I am getting the same message.

Regarding the second option you have provided I have already tried it and regretted to say its not working, I have uploaded a file named forceOff but in vain.

    Please help.
