    Hey robgranholm,

There are no styles with this plugin – it’s meant to rely on styles in your theme, or on styles you create.

You can see how to use the template and even copy it to your theme on the FAQ page.

Because there are literally thousands of themes, we decided not to include any styling with this plugin, but to rather have it output markup and you can use your theme’s styles, or create some new ones.

Honestly, what I’d do is copy the posts_loop_template.php file to your theme directory and customize it to better fit your theme’s markup. Then, you might see styles fall into place, so to speak.

    Make sense?

Thank you for the response. Yes it does, and I must have had some unrelated issue as I erased and tried the shortcode again, I now get something that looks normal, otherwise I wouldn’t have asked about formatting.

Before it was very truncated, with odd brackets showing up.

Okay, the only other thing I need to know is what code to put into posts_loop_template.php to pull in a thumbnail from the post. Something that would show left aligned and look nice with this layout. http://bit.ly/NGOSGp

Thanks for the help, you’re saving me from a Wishlist Member issue in which it cannot protect static pages, ie, the page you select in Settings > Reading for Blog, so I’m having to recreate the blog page.

Check out this sticky thread, I think it should help:
