How to stop storing cookies

    I’m building a website and this plugin seems to be great. My question here is how can I configure not to store cookies from users who doesn’t accept the cookie consent or they just don’t do anything.
    because I cannot find where is that option in the plugin.

    Hi @jgrau90,

    In order to prevent settings cookies without consent, you have move all non necessary cookie script in your site to the plugin settings under the GDPR Cookie Consent menu > Non Necessary. Find the scripts used in your site and move them to head or body script fields in the mentioned page.

    Once this is done, cookies will be set for only users who clicks ACCEPT.

    Hi @webtoffee ,

    I’ve added the (GA) script to the suggested Non-necessary box, but it seems like there are still some non-necessary cookies are being installed (_ga, _gid and cookielawinfo-checkbox-non-necessary).

    Could it be that something is interfering with the plugin?

    Hi @gvandoninck,

    We checked the site and we cannot see the cookies loading even after accept. The server is caching the cookies.

    Please exclude below cookies from caching via server support or via cache plugin.

    Hi @webtoffee,

    I’ve excluded the cookies from caching as suggested, and it does seem to work.
    However, clicking ‘Accept’ in the cookie bar without first switching the toggle button for non-necessary cookies to ‘yes’ seems to block non-necessary cookies still.

    Do you have a suggestion for that also?

    Hi @gvandoninck,

    To be GDPR compliant user should toggle the button to yes and then accept. The pre-checked box is not allowed. If you are looking for accept-all feature, you can check out our premium version.
