I was in the process of restoring to a new host when I lost electricity briefly. When I reopened UpdraftPlus I couldn’t find anywhere to click to show the progress of the Restore or just even any simple confirmation that it was still doing anything. Is there somewhere to see this if you lose that page or do you have to keep the page open during a Restore? It backs up on its own, I assumed it would continue restoring on its own.

    Hi,

    Thanks for reaching out.

The restore process is designed to continue running on the server even if you close the browser or lose the restore page, provided the server process itself wasn’t interrupted.

If the restore was interrupted before completion, you should see a Continue Restore button when you return to the Existing Backups page, allowing you to resume the process.

If, after the restore, you notice any missing elements or the site doesn’t appear to have been fully restored, you can safely run the restore again. UpdraftPlus will simply restore the selected components again and won’t cause any harm by doing so.

If you’re unsure whether your restore completed successfully, let us know what you’re seeing now (or share the restore log), and we’ll be happy to help.

    Kind regards,
    Bryle
