How to rename a table

    I did not get a response to a similar question and so am rephrasing it here. I have looked all over the site and done a search on this forum but cant find the answer. It’s most likely extremely obvious but I just cant see how to do it.
    So how do I rename, or edit the name of an existing table?
    I have one table that I would like to use as a template and keep renaming copies.
    Can anyone please help with this?

    Hi Marius,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    Your first question for this was not even ten hours before this one (at http://wordpress.org/support/topic/changing-the-name-of-a-copied-table ). While I try to answer support questions several times a day, it can sometimes happen that one has to wait longer than a couple hours, due to e.g. our different time zones, or me being busy with other things (remember, I’m doing this in my free time). I’ll therefore need to ask you to please be a little bit more patient before posting the same question again in the future.

    Now, regarding your question:
    Renaming tables is possible on the “Edit” screen of each table. At the top, you find a box named “Table Information”, which has a text field for the table name.
