How to reduce CPU useage while publishing a post?

    I understand that plugin drains sources too. But I just want to find out how to minimize the CPU usage while publishing a post.

    I saw alot of options/data right below the posting page:

    There are:
    post options
    Select a widget zone for the right sidebar.
    Custom fileds
    ….

    Please let me know how setting in customization I need to adjust in order to minize the usage of my CPU while publishing.

    The soaring CPU usage not only happen while publishing a post but also when I do nothing. Please help.
