I followed the guide, but I think I mistyped password in Step 2 under ‘Using the MySQL Client’. How can I delete the database and recreate it?

I believe this is an extremely simple question, can anyone please answer?

No, because how you do it depends largely on your host. Simply use their tools to delete and recreate the database.

every time i try and set up my db it does not work. my isp said it a glitch that the isp software can alter my info.

so i ask them to set up my user/password etc. at their end and give it to me. i drop their config into mine.

Then it’s time to look for a decent host 🙂

I’m setting WP up on my own extra computer server running Ubuntu Server edition. I have SSH access to it, so I just need to know the query for how to delete or recreate databases like in the guide (see first post).

I apologize for not being clear enough in first post, I realize that now.

Sorry, that is NOT a WordPress question. Try a forum specialized in MySQL client.
