How to properly setup an exclusion?

Hey there!

I’ve setup nofollow to external links. Now I want to exclude some specific link from this rule, so I tried to use the exclusion field but doesn’t seems to be working.

Please see attached screenshots.

(I’ve manually setup rel=follow in WP content editor since customer can’t wait)

@deblynprado when you use the exclusion settings, then you have to configure it at the other setting tab that stays between the exclusion and internal settings. With that you can make everything work as expected.

I just can see “External Links | Internal Links | Exceptions | Admin Settings”

Internal, External and Exceptions are properly setup. I’ve also marked Treat excluded links as internal links option hoping that would solve the issue

@deblynprado at the Exception tab change “Own settings for excluded links:” to “Own settings for excluded links (extra tab)”. This is specific for threat exceptions, so you can differentiate between external and internal.

I’ve changed that setting and used [Excluded Links] tab to setup the rules for links that I used in Exclude external links by URL field under [Exceptions] tab.

Still doesn’t work.

I’ve removed the manual fix that I did before, adding rel="external noopener noreferrer follow" via WordPress editor on that The Bouqs link.

@deblynprado I tested on my side and it’s working. Do you have any cache plugin installed?

Hey @manuelrocha88 I have cache from my host (WPE)

But I’ve already purged and also tried in different browsers + incognito tab.

Can’t find a way to put this setting to work =/

@deblynprado This was actually cache doing its job. Removing the custom stuff you set at the HTML from post editor, cleared cache (you have a thing called autoptimize) and things started to work.
