How to Match Categories?

Hello,
this seems like something very simple that should be in the documentation but it is not and I have tried many things but I cannot solve the problem.

In my csv, I have a column for Categories. So, each row has a categpry entry.
EG: Action and Adventure

When I import the csv into my site, I want all entries with ‘Action and Adventure’ to be added to the ‘Action & Adventure’ category on my WP site.

BUT every thing I try, the result is ‘Uncategorized’.
= The post does not get placed into a category.

How do I do this basic, simple thing?
