• Hi,

I installed a blog in English successfully by using the mylogin_ prefix. Well, now I need to install a new one in a different language (e.g. Spanish). I suppose that I should create another folder (e.g. bloginspanish), unzip all files there and change the prefix to wp_ or something.

Anyway, the problem with this method is: I have two “control panels” to manage, and I need to log twice, once for each of the blogs. Am I right? If so, there is a way to keep just one control panel and two identical blogs but in different languages.

Besides, I will be the only author of the blog and comments are disabled. Where is the password?, that is, in which file I can find it via FTP. I need to know this in order not to use that link “Lost your password?” in the login box. It seems to be safe, but I am afraid that someone intercepts or enters my inbox as an intruder and reset the password at his pleasure. Maybe I am a maniac, but I’d like to have that option to reset the password off.

    Thanks in advance

Why not just maintain them in different categories? You can then navigate to the two respective section via example.com/spanish and example.com/english

“Where is the password?, that is, in which file I can find it via http://FTP.”
It’s not stored in a file. It’s stored in the database in a secure format. There is no way to see it in plain text.

When the password resets, it emails the new password to your email address. Someone could hit reset just to be malicious, I suppose, but all it will do is send the new password to you.

Also, they have to enter both the correct login name and the email address that goes with it. So, set your login name to be different from your display name and use a different email address than the one you give out and you make it almost impossible for them to even reset the password.

To implement categories is a fantastic idea. Thanks a lot! Maybe, I might only add a link to the Blog in spanish and that’s it, being the one in English the default blog. Oh, great idea!

Regarding the password question, great solution too. I will sign up on a different e-mail provider with a crazy username so that nobody will be able to guess the true e-mail address. Oh, great! Thank you very much!
