Enabling Auto ads with Advanced Ads is quite simple. Just go to Advanced Ads > Settings > AdSense and enter your Publisher ID (you can find it in any URL when you are logged in your AdSense account).
Now, enable “Verification code & Auto ads” and save the settings.
This will place the Auto ads code automatically in the right position in the header.

happy to help.
Yes, that is possible, but it would need a different approach:
1. go to _Advanced Ads > Ads_ and create a new ad
2. enter the title
3. (keep the ad type, DON’T change it to _AdSense_)
4. add the Auto ads code (you’ll get the full code from your AdSense account) to the code field in the _Ad Parameters_ box.
5. go down to the _Display Conditions_ box and select “Post Types” and uncheck everything except “Posts” (blue=active)
6. publish the ad
7. go to _Advanced Ads > Placements_ and select a new placement with the </head> type, choose the ad and title
8. save the placements
9. disable Auto ads like in the instructions from before (in _Advanced Ads > Settings > AdSense_)
You can reach out again if you did that and I can check if the code is properly inserted.

about point 3 when you say keep the ad type do you mean to keep the default option as Plain text and code?
And about the nr 7 I don’t understand when you say “select a new placement with the </head> type, ” I cannot see that option.
also my question about the placement is? if it is auto ads isn’t it google to decide where to place them?

#3: yes, use _Plain text & Code_
#7 yes, AdSense places the ads automatically, but it needs the header code for that. This is done automatically by the option we tried first, but we need to place it into the header manually so that we can control where it shows up.
You should find the form to create a new placement in _Advanced Ads > Placements_, not on the ads settings page.
There should be a form (or a _Create Placement_ button) there. The placement type is chosen by the icons. The one you’d need should contain something like … </head>. Do you see that? If not, please check if you have an ad blocker enabled.

However, I can still see the ads in the pages, although I have selected only post type: Post.
What can I possibly do wrong?
