Hi @dosyhost
You can use the “Set the first image to the Featured Image (_thumbnail_id)” option in the “Images” section of the import in order to set thumbnails for your imported posts.
No I mean i’d like to automatically upload all of imported external thumbnails into our server.
Hi @dosyhost
Sorry, I still don’t understand what you’re asking. Can you please explain what you need in detail, and provide some examples & screenshots showing how you’re doing it manually (outside of an import)?
For example:
Rather than just embedding(hotlinking) thumbnails like this:
cdnblabla.videohostblabla.com/thumb123.png
I’d like to import that thumbnail from that url (remote server) to my server and show it from my server like this:
cdnblabla.mysite.com/thumb123.png
is is possible?
Hi @dosyhost
When you import the images/thumbnails from “cdnblabla.videohostblabla.com/thumb123.png” in the “Images” section of the import: http://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/images/overview/, WP All Import will download the image(s) to your site and put them in the Media Library with a link like “cdnblabla.mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/thumb123.png” (depending on your Media settings).
If that’s not the behavior you’re seeing, please replicate the issue at http://www.wpallimport.com/debug/ and open a ticket at http://www.wpallimport.com/support/ so that we can check the settings & data.
