How to have intro paragraph

    Hello. How do I have a perminate into paragraph on the front page. If I do it as a post then people can comment, I don’t want that, I would like an intro and then all the other posts follow. Thanks much, I’m fairly new to wordpress.

    Simplest solution: open up your index.php theme file and insert the paragraph manually.

    You can also look for a plugin to do that … WP-Sticky or simple-sticky-post or maybe something fancy like welcome plugin.

    You can disable comments on individual posts, in case you’ve missed the feature. When writing/editing a post, scroll down and click on “comments and ping”. Just deactivate “allow comments”. That’s probably something you’d want to do with a sticky post.
