How to get five latest headlines

    Hi. I use

    <?php if (have_posts()) : ?>

      <?php while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>
      ” rel=”bookmark” title=”Permanent Link to <?php the_title(); ?>”> <?php the_title(); ?>
      <?php endwhile; ?>

    <?php endif; ?>

    To list headlines, but I would like to limit the result to five headlines only. How do I do that?
