Right now we don’t support this setup in then plugin, but you can set a single format for SD/HD right now, something like this:

    [jwplayer sources=”{file:’sd.mp4′},{file:’hd.mp4′}”]

If your regular codebase supports it, why doesn’t your plugin support it?

We are planning on adding this to the plugin, but right now this functionality didn’t make it into this release yet, sorry.

You said to use “something like this” [jwplayer sources=”{file:’sd.mp4′},{file:’hd.mp4′}”]

This doesn’t work, AND it doesn’t even include the image used for splash.
Can you PLEASE give a better example of needed code! Can you please give the exact line(s) of code to use for us that are spending hours trying to get this plugin working.

Your JWPv6 for wordpress uses [jwplayer mediaid=”331″] by default and that method does not allow for sd/hd.

I used that and it absolutely works. Can I see where you are trying this?

The reason it doesn’t work is because you MUST have a space between the “{” and the word “file” for it to work.

So, I don’t know how you absolutely have it working otherwise.

I used it. No spaces, or else it will break.

I’m using the exact code above, and it finally works.
It’s strange that you say, “No spaces, or else it will break.

But yet, these are your exact words:

“I’m afraid that configuring the fallback in the plugin is rather complicated, as you will need to use the shortcode functionality, and cannot use the video manager.

An example shortcode would look like this:

    [jwplayer image=”http://content.bitsontherun.com/thumbs/Fqfj2vsZ-480.jpg” sources=”{ file: ‘http://content.bitsontherun.com/manifests/Fqfj2vsZ.m3u8′},{ file:’http://content.bitsontherun.com/videos/Fqfj2vsZ-480.mp4’}”]

The opening curly braces { of the sources always need to be followed by a space in order for the shortcode to work.

Sorry, that is right. My apologies.

Is it possible to list different formats without bitrate differentiation (mp4, webm, ogv)?

    Plugin Author JW Player

    (@longtail-video)

Yes, just use the sources set up, but instead of using two mp4 files, use webm, mp4, for example.

Is it possible to do this using mediaids, or must we refer to filenames directly, as above? Also, does the sources variable accept three consective arguments — mp4, webm, ogv files?

It is not, I’m afraid. Yes, it has to be set up like that. If you are using webm, no need for ogv, though.
