If I’m reading this correctly, you’re talking about the navigation menu. You can go into your admin dashboard to menus and remove those “menu items” from the navigation menu to suit your needs…for the most part.
I hope this helps.
Thanks
Yes, it’s the navigation menu. The problem is that I did not create any menu. This navigation menu appears to be a “default” item so all the pages that I create are automatically added to it. So when I go to Appearence -> Menus, there is nothing I can edit there.
In the Dashboard>Appearance>Menu for the main menu, there is a tick box to add pages to the menu as they are added to the site. You need to untick the box. Then you will have to manually keep the menu up to date.
There is a check box which says “Automatically add new top-level pages to this menu” but it is already unticked.
There is no actual “menu”, that’s why I think I can’t edit it like this.
There is some menu showing up in that area, have a look around at all the menus you have there and see which is being picked up for the main menu.
I can’t think of any other reason, unless of course you have created a child theme or you are using anything (plugin) to create menus.
Someone else might have a better idea if you give the site you are working on.
