How to customize pre-installed widgets?

    Hello,

    Would anyone give me a clue how to customize those pre-installed widgets in 2.7.1?
    I’m using a theme called cloudy. It allows widgets. But when widgets are used the original sidebar disappears. Is there a way to add widgets to the original sidebar?

    The adding of widgets overrides whatever is in your default sidebar, but you can add widgets back in to “replace” what you had originally. So you can re-create your original default template with the same widgets, but now you can move them around.

    You can also edit sidebar.php to reduce the widget-capable area so that you add widgets to the sidebar without removing the no-widget display.
