How to customize next_post_link()

Hi, i’m trying to add in single.php the previous and next post links, but i need to customize those.
I have to add and image how link… an image that on click redirect you to next or prevoius post.
I’m reading in codex the tags for this function, but i didn’t found anything that can help me.
