How to create expense on each order?

Hello,

Is there possible to create an expenses field (manually input) for each purchase order, such as shipping cost… for admin record only? Not show up to customer. This is for shipping included products.

This expenses field value must be calculated in total and displayed as field “Shipping Cost” in Woocommerce/Report.

The purpose for this is for store own can see profit for each order, and yearly total shipping cost expenses.

Please advise. Thanks in advance!

Hello there,
You could use Cost of Goods to do this: https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-cost-of-goods/

It is not entirely for this, but you can use it for shipping only instead of the entire product cost and it should do exactly what you want.

Hello @nicolamustone,

Thank you for your response. “Cost of good”s is a good extension and pre-set for a product before a sales transaction. I want differently as “Cost of sale” – shipping cost for each order. Because each order ship to different address the shipping cost is different. This Cost of sale is manually input after the order shipped and calculated for store sales record report.

Is there a field can be used to achieve this purpose?

There’s not a field for this AFAIK.

You can add one yourself: https://nicolamustone.blog/2015/11/30/add-custom-fields-woocommerce-products/

Using them in reports though would be harder and I am not aware of a tutorial for that.

For the reports, I am not able to help with that since it requires advanced development.
